DHYG 1160 - Clinical Dental Hygienist II

1 Credits (6 hrs. ext.) This is a health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. A method of instruction providing detailed education, training and work-based experience and direct patient/client care in the dental hygiene clinic on the LSC-Kingwood campus. Specific detailed learning objectives are developed for each course by the faculty. On-site clinical instruction, supervision, evaluation and placement are the responsibility of the college faculty. Clinical experiences are unpaid learning experiences. Requires LSC liability insurance. Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing; DHYG 1260, DHYG 2201, DHYG 1211, DHYG 1235
