VTHT 1441 - Anesthesia and Surgical Assistance 4 Credits (2 hrs. lec., 6 hrs. lab.) In-depth application of surgical, obstetrical, and anesthesia techniques including identification and use of instruments and equipment. A major portion of the course will include detailed instruction in the principles of pharmacology with a practical application in determining anesthetic dosages and after care treatments for patients. Necropsy techniques will be demonstrated with active participation by students. Prerequisite: VTHT 2201 , VTHT 1413 and departmental approval; Corequisite: VTHT 1140 , VTHT 1245 and VTHT 2331
