AIRP 1317 - Private Pilot Ground School Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours - Lecture: 3 Ground school for the Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot Certificate, providing the student with the necessary aeronautical knowledge that can be used for Private Pilot Certification. Topics include principles of flight, radio procedures, weather, navigation, aerodynamics, and Federal Aviation Administration regulations. Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing Student Learning Outcomes 1 - Display the skills necessary for air navigation.
2 - Explain the aerodynamic factors involved in the operation of aircraft, and meet aeronautical knowledge areas required for the Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot Practical Test.
3 - Meet aeronautical knowledge areas required for the Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot Practical Test.
4 - Demonstrate proficiency in knowledge required by the Federal Aviation Administration for the Private Pilot Written Test.
