RNSG 2208 - Maternal/Newborn Nursing and Women’s Health Credit Hours: 2 Contact Hours - Lecture: 2 Concepts related to nursing care for childbearing families and women’s health issues. Content includes knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach. Prerequisite: None Student Learning Outcomes 1 - Identify common needs and high risk changes which may be experienced by women and the childbearing family.
2 - Utilize critical thinking and systematic problem-solving for the family during the perinatal period, as well as caring for patients with women’s health issues.
