CHEM 1411 - General Chemistry I 4 Credits (3 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab.) Topics include a mathematical introduction (metric system, significant figures and scientific notation), discussion of atoms, molecules and ions, stoichiometry, electronic structure, periodic relationships, bonding, molecular geometries and properties of gases, liquids, solids and solutions. Appropriate lab experiments are included.
