MCHN 1390 - Special Topics in Machine Shop Assistant

3 Credits (2 hrs. lec., 4 hrs. lab.) Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. An advanced study of manual lathe, milling, and drilling operations. Emphasis on advanced cutting operations of the lathe and milling machines, drill presses, including the use of carbide insert tooling, special tooling, bench assembly, and materials metallurgy.
