AFSC 1271 - Foundations of United States Air Force I 2 Credits (2 hrs. lec., 2 hrs. lab.) Overall roles and missions of the USAF; career fields available. Emphasis on military customs and courtesies, appearance standards, core values, written and personal communication. Introduction to American military history. Prerequisite: None Course Outcomes 1 - Know the concept of War and the role the Air Force plays.
2 - Know the career opportunities available.
3 - Know the benefits afforded an Air Force member.
4 - Know and develop productive life skills.
