DSVT 2200 - Vascular Technology Applications 2 Credits (1 hr. lec., 3 hrs. lab.) Non-invasive vascular technology. Includes 2-D imaging, Doppler, plethysmography, and segmental pressures. Emphasizes protocols for performing basic venous and arterial imaging and non-imaging exams. Prerequisite: DMSO 1267 , DMSO 2342 and DMSO 2351 or DSAE 2437 , DSAE 2264 Corequisite: DMSO 2130 , DMSO 2245 and DMSO 2366 OR DSAE 2235 , DSAE 2365 and DMSO 2130 Course Outcomes 1 - Identify the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the vascular system as it relates to noninvasive technology.
2 - Discuss criteria for performing routine non-invasive peripheral vascular exams including carotid, arterial, and venous studies.
