EECT 2439 - Communications Circuits 4 Credits (3 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab.) A study of communications systems with emphasis on amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, phase modulation, and digital pulse modulation. Discussion of several types of modulators, demodulators, receivers, transmitters, and transceivers. Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing, CETT 1457 Course Outcomes 1 - Describe the operation of communications receivers and transmitters.
2 - Measure and troubleshoot communications systems.
3 - Describe the use of microwave receivers used in down-links in communications and the geographical regional transponder relationships used to communicate by cell phone.
