GOVT 2304 - Introduction to Political Science 3 Credits (3 hrs. lec.) An introductory survey of the field of political science. Emphasis will be placed on the scope of the discipline; methods of inquiry and analysis appropriate for the study of political behavior; and recurring themes and problems in the study of political theory. (4510015225) Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing, GOVT 2305 Course Outcomes 1 - Define and apply political terms and concepts.
2 - Define political science and identify the subfields.
3 - Compare and contrast different political systems and institutions.
4 - Apply the methods used to study politics.
5 - Critically interpret and analyze contemporary political issues and problems.
