MUAP 2201 - Private Applied Music: Strings


2 Credits (Second year, two 1/2 hour lessons per week; two credit hours per semester) Private instruction, in instruments and voice, is available to students majoring or minoring in music and to other students who desire to gain or improve proficiency in individual vocal or instrumental performance. (5009035426) Prerequisite: Departmental approval; Corequisite: One MUEN or MUSI course
Course Outcomes
1 - Perform a variety of advanced literature in a jury or other venue as assigned.
2 - Demonstrate advanced musicality on a stringed instrument.
3 - Exhibit advanced proficiency in fingering and bow technique appropriate to level of study.
4 - Memorize multiple pieces, studies and/or scales appropriate to private string study.
