OTHA 1315 - Therapeutic Use of Occupations or Activities I


3 Credits (2 hrs. lec., 2 hrs. lab.) Various occupations or activities used as therapeutic interventions in occupational therapy. Emphasis on awareness of activity demands, contexts, adapting, grading, and safe implementation of occupations or activities. Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing; Admission to the Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Course Outcomes
1 - Identify various occupations or activities designed to support performance.
2 - Describe the activity demands of various occupations or activities.
3 - Interpret the context of various occupations or activities.
4 - Demonstrate safety and management of resources.
5 - Translate the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF) to occupations or activities.
6 - Demonstrate basic documentation skills
