PSYC 2317 - Basic Statistics 3 Credits (3 hrs. lec.) Introduction to basic statistical concepts including measures of central tendency, variability, and statistical inference. Some emphasis is placed on t-test, correlation, and analysis of variance. (4201015225) Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing; MATH 0310 Course Outcomes 1 - Use appropriate methods of descriptive statistics to describe and summarize data.
2 - Demonstrate appropriate use of basic inferential techniques.
3 - Use basic statistics terminology.
4 - Interpret and evaluate research design in professional literature in a variety of disciplines.
