PTRT 1301 - Introduction to Petroleum Industry 3 Credits (3 hrs. lec.) An introduction to the various aspects of petroleum industry including equipment, systems, instrumentation, operations, and the various scientific principles. Addresses a variety of petroleum technologies: exploration, drilling, production, transportation, marketing, and chemical processing industries. Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing; MATH 0308 Course Outcomes 1 - Identify the concepts of exploration, production, refining, marketing, and transportation.
2 - Describe the terms and phrases associated with the petroleum industry.
