VTHT 2217 - Exotic Animal Clinical Management 2 Credits (2 hrs. lec.) Survey of feeding, common management practices, and care of exotic animals in a clinical or zoological setting. Review of common diseases of exotic animals encountered in the practice of veterinary medicine. Prerequisite: None. Corequisite: VTHT 1301 and VTHT 1105 Course Outcomes 1 - Implement sanitation and disease prevention techniques.
2 - Utilize medication procedures.
3 - Apply knowledge of nutrition, reproduction, and behavior of exotic animals in a clinical setting.
4 - Recognize common disease pathophysiology.
