VTHT 2331 - Veterinary Clinical Pathology II 3 Credits (2 hrs. lec., 4 hrs. lab.) In-depth study of urinalysis and cytology. Survey of microbiological techniques. Emphasis of laboratory procedures. A continuation of VTHT 2223 with a more technologically oriented evaluation of body fluids including blood chemistry and cytology. Microbiology, bacteriology and virology are also presented in detail. Prerequisite: VTHT 2223 ; Corequisite: VTHT 1140 , VTHT 1245 , and VTHT 1441 Course Outcomes 1 - Perform urinalysis, cytological, and basic microbiological techniques.
2 - Demonstrate the use of diagnostic equipment.
3 - Identify abnormal blood conditions and blood chemistries.
