DHYG 1260 - Clinical Dental Hygiene/Hygienist I

2 Credits (12 hrs. ext.) This is a health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. A method of instruction providing detailed education, training and work-based experience and direct patient/client care in the dental hygiene clinic on the Lone Star College-Kingwood campus. Specific detailed learning objectives are developed for each course by the faculty. On-site clinical instruction, supervision, evaluation and placement are the responsibility of the college faculty. Clinical experiences are unpaid learning experiences. Requires LSC liability insurance.
