RNSG 1309 - Introduction to Nursing


3 Credits (3 hrs. lec.) Overview of nursing and the role of the professional nurse as provider in patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of health care team, and member of the profession. Content includes knowledge, judgment, skills and professional values with a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach. Prerequisite: BIOL 2401 , with a minimum grade of C; ENGL 1301  with a minimum grade of C. Corequisite: RNSG 1144 , PSYC 2301 RNSG 1215
