BITC 1250 - Special Studies and Bioethical Issues of Biotechnology


2 Credits (1 hr. lec., 2 hrs. lab.) Current events, skills, attitudes, and behaviors pertinent to biotechnology and relevant to the professional development of the student. Includes exploration of ethical and legal behaviors in the context of the biotechnology industry.    Prerequisite: BITC 1402  
Course Outcomes
1. Analyze ethical, legal, and societal issues associated with current practices of the biotechnology industry.
2. Demonstrate ethical and legal concepts through an activity such as debate.
3. Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of biotechnology innovations.
