                  ARAB 1412 - Beginning Arabic II Credit Hours: 4 Contact Hours -   Lecture: 3  Lab: 2   This course is a continuation of ARAB 1411  with increased emphasis on comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. Intensive drills to increase vocabulary and knowledge of structure. CIP Code: (1601015113) Prerequisite: ARAB 1411 ; College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing   Student Learning Outcomes  1 - Engage in conversations using level-appropriate grammatical structures including narrating events that take place in the past.
2 - Understand level-appropriate spoken Arabic produced by Arabic speakers of diverse origins.
3 - Write simple and moderately complex sentences using level-appropriate grammatical structures and organize them into cohesive paragraphs.
4 - Read and comprehend level-appropriate authentic texts.
5 - Identify and discuss traditions, customs and values of the Arabic world, and compare and contrast them with characteristics of their own culture.
