ARCE 1315 - Structural Steel Detailing

Contact Hours - Lecture: 2 Lab: 4
This course covers the preparation of structural steel drawings and bills of material for the purpose of fabrication and erection. Emphasis will be placed upon using structural design framing plans to develop detailed steel members, connections, and assemblies.
Prerequisite: ARCE 1352 ; MATH 1316 ; College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing
Student Learning Outcomes
1 - Demonstrate processes and procedures involved in structural steel fabrication.
2 - Develop detailed shop drawings.
3 - Prepare an advanced bill of material.
4 - Assign individual and assembled units.
5 - Develop erection drawings.
