DANC 2241 - Intermediate Ballet Credit Hours: 2 Contact Hours - Lecture: 2 Lab: 1 Instruction in the intermediate techniques and concepts associated with ballet. May be repeated for credit once. CIP Code: (5003015226) Prerequisite: DANC 1241 or instructor approval. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Continue to recognize & exhibit dance class etiquette such as spatial awareness, active listening, personal responsibility, commitment to the practice, and respect for the larger community of dance.
2. Demonstrate understanding of intermediate ballet terminology and the associated movements.
3. Apply strategies linking biomechanics to ballet practices such as the adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro, and grand allegro.
4. Effectively apply artistic choices such as musicality, focus, and use of energy to performed movement.
5. Analyze personal progress within the legacy of ballet.
