ELPT 1357 - Industrial Wiring Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours - Lecture: 2 Lab: 3 Wiring methods used for industrial installations. Includes motor circuits, raceway and bus way installations, proper grounding techniques, and associated safety procedures. Prerequisite: ELPT 1325 Student Learning Outcomes 1 - Interpret electrical blueprints/drawings.
2 - Compute circuit sizes and overcurrent protection for the installation of branch circuits, feeders, and service entrance conductors.
3 - Explain the proper installation of wiring devices according to electrical codes.
4 - Demonstrate grounding methods.
5 - Identify industrial wiring methods including conduit bending.
6 - Demonstrate proper safety procedures.
