FIRS 1433 - Firefighter Certification VII

Contact Hours - Lecture: 3 Lab: 3
One in a series of courses in basic preparation for a new firefighter. Should be taken in conjunction with Firefighter Certification I, II, III, IV, V, and VI to satisfy the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) curriculum for Basic Structural Fire Suppression, Course #100.
Prerequisite: None.
Student Learning Outcomes
1 - Describe the general requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards applicable to live fire.
2 - Extinguish or control live fires while using hose streams and portable extinguishers safely and effectively.
3 - Operate within a command structure utilized by all participants.
