INMT 1417 - Industrial Automation Credit Hours: 4 Contact Hours - Lecture: 3 Lab: 2 Applications of industrial automation systems including identification of system requirements, equipment integration, motors, controllers, and sensors. Coverage of set-up, maintenance, and testing of the automated system. Prerequisite: RBTC 1401 , CETT 1402 or CETT 1409 Student Learning Outcomes 1 - Explain industry’s progression toward automation.
2 - Employ control methods and procedures.
3 - Operate motors and motor controls for automation.
4 - Select appropriate sensors.
5 - Incorporate proper set-up, maintenance, and testing for automation.
