INMT 1491 - Special Topics - Industrial Manufacturing Technology/Technician Credit Hours: 4 Contact Hours - Lecture: 3 Lab: 3 Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. Prerequisite: College Level Readiness in Reading AND Writing Student Learning Outcomes 1 - Learning outcomes/objectives are determined by local occupational need and business and industry needs.
2 - Utilize different types of transducers and sensors in a process control.
3 - Build a control system utilizing operational amplifiers.
4 - Demonstrate the use of thyristor control circuits.
5 - Program microcontrollers on a process control system.
6 - Calculate the load on stepper motors.
7 - Program logic controllers used in process control.
8 - Demonstrate an application of a closed loop vs. an open loop control system.
9 - Calculate motion in linear and rotational systems.
