Student Learning Outcomes
1. Play additional major and minor scales. Perform the following major and harmonic minor scales and corresponding root position triad arpeggios, 2 octaves, hands together: C, G, D, A, E and Gb major; A, E, D, C and G harmonic, and the chromatic scale. 2. Introduce select chord progressions and concepts of voice leading. 3. Continued harmonization of melodies in the keys of C, G, D, and F major, and A and D minor using I, IV, V and V7 chords, (I, iv, V and V7 in minor) in root position and inversion. 4. Perform selected compositions for advanced beginning players. 5. Transpose simple compositions.
