PHRA 1345 - Compounding Sterile Preparations

The process of compounding sterile preparations and aseptic technique within legal and regulatory guidelines specified by USP <797> standards.
Prerequisite: Admission into program, PHRA 1102 , PHRA 1305 , PHRA 1309 , PHRA 1413 ; ENGL 1301 recommended; Corequisite: PHRA 1347 .
Student Learning Outcomes
1 - Demonstrate procedures and techniques consistent with USP 797 standards.
2 - Perform dosage calculations required for sterile product preparation.
3 - Demonstrate safe handling and preparation of compound sterile preparations.
