                  SCWK 1321 - Orientation to Social Services Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours -   Lecture: 3     Introduction to the basic concepts, information, and practices within the field of social services. Topics include the historical development of social services; populations served by social service workers; and review of current treatment and/or services.  Prerequisite: None.   Student Learning Outcomes  1 - Describe the historical development of social services.
2 - Discuss terminology used by social service providers.
3 - Assess client needs to determine eligibility for social service programs.
4 - Compare and contrast the populations served including treatments and resources.
