DSVT 2300 - Vascular Technology Applications Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours - Lecture: 2 Lab: 2 Non-invasive vascular technology. Includes 2-D imaging, Doppler, plethysmography, and segmental pressures. Emphasizes protocols for performing basic venous and arterial imaging and non-imaging exams. Prerequisite: DMSO 1342 ; both DMSO 2405 and DMSO 2353 and DMSO 1266 or DSAE 2404 or DSAE 1364 Corequisite: DMSO 1267 and DMSO 2342 or DSAE 2437 and DSAE 2264 Student Learning Outcomes 1. Identify the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the vascular system as it relates to noninvasive technology.
2. Discuss criteria for performing routine non-invasive peripheral vascular exams including carotid, arterial, and venous studies.
