Biomedical Engineering is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to biology and medicine, providing an overall enhancement of health care. The Associate of Science (AS) in Biomedical Engineering is designed for students wishing to transfer to a 4-year institution. The Curriculum also prepares students to work professionally in areas centered around biomedical engineering such as Artificial Organs and Prosthetics, Medical Instrumentations, Biomaterials Design, Biomechanics, and Sports medicine.
