RSPT 1310 - Respiratory Care Procedures I

Essential knowledge of the equipment and techniques used in the treatment of cardiopulmonary disease.
Prerequisite: Admission to the program; Corequisite: RSPT 1166, RSPT 1201, RSPT 1213, RSPT 1240.
Student Learning Outcomes
1. Utilize respiratory care equipment. 2. Perform therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, lung expansion therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy, and pulse oximetry. 3. Recommend modification of therapy; and maintain patient records.
